Firstly, we encourage you to do some exercise to keep your body moving - you are entitled to 30 minutes of exercise every day outside. The Government have suggested a run, cycle or walk is ideal. And, it is. Getting some sunshine, and much needed Vitamin D, is very good for you.
If you are unable to leave your home because you fit into one of the vulnerable groups, or are self isolating, remember that any opportunity for some fresh air is still good, so even a few minutes in the garden will help.
You can also do some exercise in your home, so don't be a couch potato all day, but also remember to take it steady.
What else can you do to stay healthy?
Eat as well as you can. Fortunately, a fair amount of the panic buying seems to have calmed down now, so whilst not all food is freely available, stock levels have improved
Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. Focus on green, leafy vegetables and colourful fruit - eat the rainbow!
Simply cook fresh meat and fish, to enjoy them at their best, and try to keep processed foods to a minimum
Drink plenty of water
Consider taking some simple supplements designed to support your immune systems. These include zinc acetate lozenges (80mg/day) and Vitamin D, which is shown to prevent acute respiratory tract infections
Keep anti-viral supplements in your cupboard - Vitamin A, D, C, Lysine and Zinc Acetate. These may be difficult to get hold of right now, but look out for them, and get them when you can.
Don't work all the time - when bank holidays and weekends feel the same as week days it's easy to fall into the trap of just working. Be sure to take time to relax and enjoy your family - even when it does feel like you're seeing a bit too much of your nearest and dearest!
We hope this helps you to stay safe and well in the current climate.
