Join us for a Walk and Talk
22-28 April is Chiropractic Awareness Week, organised by the British Chiropractic Association (BCA). This year the BCA are raising awareness of the importance of back, bone and joint health by encouraging chiropractors to set up community initiatives such as our 'Walk and Talk' initiative. We love this!
Did you know over half of the population are hesitant about seeking help from their GP with bone and joint related problems? Whilst over 30 million working days are lost due to musculoskeletal conditions every year. The BCA want to overcome this stigma, so we have designed this walk and talk initiative to embrace talking whilst enjoying the benefits of walking outdoors.
Join the Backs and Joints Walk and Talk
Throughout May, Vera Christensen, our lead chiropractor, will be hosting 30 minute walks every Thursday. The walks will set off from Crossborough Hill Car Park at 1.15pm. Everyone is invited - the aim is to encourage our community to enjoy some fresh air, embrace the activity of walking, whilst enjoying social interaction with others. Dogs, children, friends and family are all welcome.
This is the perfect opportunity to get a proper 30 minute break from your desk. Or encourage reluctant exercisers who need support to venture out. The pace will be suitable for everyone - the focus is on being social, not training for a marathon!
